Daily walking is finally a habit

Proud to say that my 20 minutes of walking is finally a habit!  I started out about a year and a half ago walking on my treadmill (after my diabetes diagnoses).  Previous to that, my treadmill was a place where I would hang my housecoat on.  At first it was 5 minutes, then 10 minutes a day.  The past few months it has been 20 minutes a day, nearly everyday.  I did miss a few days, but for good reason (migraine).  It is finally a habit, and happens like clockwork.  Amazing how there are actually “good” habits!

In the evenings, I am playing my Wii.  I have a variety of options, including Yoga, Basketball, Tennis, Boxing and a bunch of other ones.  It is a great way to get exercise, without feeling like you are exercising.  So far I am only doing it now and then.  My goal is to play my Wii every evening.  Once the Wii becomes a habit, I will be getting the proper amount of exercise.. can’t wait!
